Olen
Pirjo Löfgren ja asustan Liperissä, Pohjois-Karjalassa, Joensuun kupeessa.
Perheeseeni kuuluu minun lisäkseni mieheni Pentti ja 4 lasta, ikäjakauma
11-20v.
Olen tällä hetkellä kotiäitinä ja Pentti korjaa työkseen suurempia
työkoneita. Vapaa-aika kuluu kotona lasten ja koirien kanssa sekä
pihatöitä tehden, sekä koiranäyttelyitä kiertäen, ja onhan tuo Penakin
satunnaisesti nähty mukana, kuten myös ainut tyttölapseni Emma josta
epätoivoisesti yritän kouluttaa kenneltyttöä. Vapaa-aikanaan Pentti kyllä
viihtyy tanssiparketilla ollen tosi "veitsi".
Perheessämme
on myös kolme kissaa, "Rölli", "Viljo" & "Vieno" |

Olen nuorena asunut Australiassa ja siellä
elämääni kuuluivat hyvin tiiviisti hevoset, joiden kanssa tein työtä,
koulutin pari ratsuksi, kilpailin niiden kanssa näyttelyissä, ja onnistuin
kasvattamaan muutaman hyvännäköisen varsan.
Muutettuani
Suomeen '80 luvun lopulla ja perustettuani perheen oli harrastukset
hukassa ja olin kotiäiti, silloinen koirani, ”Missy”, Australian Kelpie,
jonka toin mukanani kun muutin, oli lenkkeily kaveri. Missyn kuoltua v.'94
olimme vähän aikaa ilman koiraa kunnes hankimme Rottweiler nartun Mancin
Hettiinan "Heta" ja näyttelykärpänen puri, seuraava koira oli myös
rottweiler, Ukko-Pekan Xandra "Sani", Sani pärjäsikin kohtalaisen hyvin
näyttelyissä ja huomasin että olin koukussa. Huonoa onnea oli kuitenkin
molemman koiran terveyden kanssa ja molemmat jouduttiin lopettamaan
suhteellisen nuorena vakavien nivelongelmien vuoksi. |

Päätin
ajat sitten ottaa joskus tulevaisuudessa itselleni Welsh Corgin, en vielä
tiennyt kumpaan päätyisin cardi vai pemu, mutta pemu voitti ja kotona on
nyt neljä pemua.

Olen
käynyt hyväksytysti sekä kasvattajan peruskurssin että -jatkokurssin ja
allekirjoittanut Suomen Kennelliiton Kasvattajasitoumuksen. Kennelnimi "NOMPARELLIN”
myönnettiin minulle tammikuussa 2005. |

I'm
Pirjo Löfgrén and I live in Liperi, a town near the city of
Joensuu, North-Karelia, Finland. Our family consists of me, my husband
Pentti and four children, who are between the ages of 11 & 20. At the
moment I'm at home and Pentti fixes large farm machinery for a living.

My
free time is spent with the children and dogs, and the never ending job of
trying to make the yard look presentable. Also the dog shows take up much
of my time especially in the summer, Pentti has also been seen at random
with me as has my only daughter Emma, of whom I'm trying (not much
success) to train into a kennel girl. In his free time Pentti likes to
dance and is quite an astaire.

We also have three cats living with us, "Rölli" ,"Viljo" &
"Vieno"

I lived in Australia between the years 1971 & 1987, where
horses played a large part in my life, I worked with them, trained (with
help) a couple as hacks, participated in horse shows with them and managed
to breed a couple of nice foals out of the mares I owned.
Upon
moving to Finland in '87 and having to leave the horses behind, I brought
with me my kelpie Missy, I was at a loss for a while, but raising four
children did take up a lot of my time, when Missy died in '94 we were
without a dog for a while and then acquired a rottweiler bitch Mancin
Hettiina and entered our first dog show.
Our
second purebred was also a rottweiler, Ukko-Pekan Xandra, who did quite
well in the show ring and that was all that was needed, I was hooked. Bad
luck befell both of those dogs, and they had to be put down at quite young
ages due to serious joint problems.
I decided a while back that sometime in the future I would
get a Welsh Corgi for myself, it was just deciding which one of the two,
Cardigan or Pembroke, but the pem won and now there are four at home with
us.
